Wellness Menu at Hilton West Palm Beach Benefits Cancer Research
Pink-themed dishes with cancer-fighting ingredients honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Hilton West Palm Beach’s four onsite eateries--Galley, Manor, La Playa, and Provisions--are offering a curated selection of pink-hued dishes featuring cancer-fighting ingredients. A portion of the proceeds from the specialty menus will benefit the American Cancer Society as part of the hotel’s Real Men Wear Pink Campaign. The cancer-preventative menu includes items such as:
- Baby Kale & Spinach Salad: kale is a cruciferous vegetable that produces indoles and isothiocyanates when digested and has shown to lower the risk of breast, lung, prostate, and colorectal cancer.
- Watermelon Mint Juice by Field of Greens: watermelon boasts one of the highest concentrations of lycopene which is thought to play a role in preventing cancer and heart disease.
- Rose-Petal Lattes: fresh rose water acts as an anti-inflammatory and can be used as a natural solution to stomach pain from patients undergoing chemotherapy.
