The award-winning Edgewood Tahoe
in Nevada is a world-class destination

hosted the American Century Celebrity
Golf Championship for the last 21 years,
which has included the likes of Michael
Jordan and John Elway.
When hosting special dining events
in its clubhouse, General Manager
Bobby King specifies Walco’s rectangular
lift-top Idol Chafers, which are
self-closing and feature vented glass
lids to keep food presentations visible
while preventing them from drying out.
The Idol Chafers are also available in
various round sizes, and the chafer bodies can
be removed from their stands to be used on
induction tables.
“We have used six or seven different
kinds of chafers at our venue, but Walco’s are
the most functional and the most attractive,”
says King, who also appreciates the fact that
the chafers pull apart, and the hydraulic lids
can be stored separately.
The Idol Chafers feature magnetic steelclad
bottoms for even heating, as well as food
pans and spoon holders, and King says he
plans to use them going forward for their quality
and value. He also uses Walco’s flatware in
the Edgewood Tahoe Restaurant. —MP
