Mobile Induction and Communal Tables » Sage Practices
Spring USA has been the manufacturer
of choice for two of Sage Hospitality’s
managed properties in Denver and Orlando
for several years, beginning with
the introduction of the company’s line
of portable, tabletop induction burners.
In the Denver location, the
Curtis, a Doubletree Hotel, uses the
SmartStoneTM Asian-inspired mobile
induction tables, and communal
induction tables are in use at the Coco Key Water Resort in
Orlando. The tables serve as breakfast buffets in several of the
two properties’ restaurants and are also used for parties in the
private dining rooms.
“The decision to use Spring USA was made for several
reasons, including flexibility, the look of the tables when they
are not in use, and their ease of set
up and breakdown,” says Michael
Carr-Turnbough, VP, culinary, for Sage
Hospitality.
Spring USA’s SmartStone induction
tables feature energy-efficient
heating technology, camouflaged under
granite and recycled glass countertop
material, and can be set to four
pre-selected temperatures for buffet
service. Because only the metal serving
piece gets hot, the countertops are
available for “regular” use immediately when the event is over.
“Everyone says our buffets look great—very clean, professional,
and guest friendly,” says Carr-Turnbough. He adds that
Sage is also planning to use Spring USA’s credenza units in a
new hotel they will be managing in Denver. —MP
