When the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago hosts an event, it proudly displays its culinary creations on Rosseto’s Skycap professional-grade, stainless steel, multi-level risers. The luxury property has been using the Skycap risers to effectively display food for traditional buffets and is planning to expand the layouts and uses of the pieces, says Banquet Manager Cory Saffran.
“These items stand apart from other brands because of their architectural look and because of the variety of ways in which they can be set up with only a small number of pieces,” Saffran adds.
The Skycap line features a protective coating and break-resistant, tempered glass that can withstand demanding commercial environments. The buffet system also features customizable levels for vertical and horizontal contrast.
Saffran’s team at the Four Seasons, which began using the Rosseto line when new pieces were being introduced to the market, says they appreciate the durability and versatility of the risers and plan to expand their inventory.
The Skycap line can be used for everything from contemporary breakfast buffets to sophisticated gala events. Rosseto manufactures high-quality, functional products that also include platters; ice tubs; cereal, candy, and coffee dispensers; disposable dishes; and bakery cases. The company’s product lines have grown over the years, including solutions made for very specific hotel needs.
In his capacity as chief of concept development and implementation, Gil Gold has created unique patented products for dispensing cereal without crushing it, while keeping it fresh. In fact, identifying a large market of cereal lovers in the United States is why Gold came here six years ago to found Rosseto and chase the American dream.
“Before we invented [our dispensers], people used to scoop the cereal from open jars, which was not sanitary, and health departments didn’t like it,” Gold says. “Over the years, we’ve developed a wide range of cereal dispensers that fit the needs of most of the hotel chains in the United States. A good example is when InterContinental Hotels Group renovated the Holiday Inn Express breakfast buffet. They had a need to dispense four kinds of cereal with very limited counter space, so we developed a lazy Susan carousel unit, which they really like and have even used in their hotels outside North America.”
Gold also crafted a solution for Hilton Hotels. “There were so pleased and said they had been waiting for that solution for many, many years. They said they kept seeing dispensers that crushed the cereal and didn’t keep it fresh. But we came up with a really functional solution.”—MP, TW
