Successful American Banquet Table Manufacturer » Seeing Is Believing
During a tour of Maywood Furniture’s headquarters in
Maywood, New Jersey, Jack DeSaussure, operations
manager and fourth-generation employee of the familyowned
company, showed why—for over 80 years—they
have been a successful American manufacturer. Maywood
has retained complete control of its manufacturing
operation, with all metal components manufactured
in-house. Other advancements include robotic welders
that allow top-quality table legs to be made in the USA
and a unique metal stamping, cutting, and deburring
process for better coating adherence and rust resistance.
Maywood also imports premium European wood for use
on all plywood tops, utilizing a high-tech computerized
panel saw and routers that produce a variety of
banquet and seminar table shapes. The company’s
newest innovation is a compact pedestal storage cart
accessory for easy and fast setups and breakdowns.
Jack DeSaussure sums up the visit: “I’m excited about
leading our fourth-generation company and firmly
believe that Maywood Furniture’s line of banquet and
conference tables—with all of the innovations we have
made and being the spec for almost all major upscale
hotel chains—will enable us to be a leader in the
hospitality market for many years to come.” –ADS
