Having been in the food and beverage
industry for 43 years, Donald Sedivy, executive
chef at the Sailfish Club of Florida
in Palm Beach, has strong opinions about
pre-made food items, and he can’t find
enough good things to say about Holiday
Foods hors d’oeuvres.
“They are consistently good products;
the quality is always there,” he attests.
“And they have new products coming
out all the time, so there is variety to
choose from.”
For parties and weddings at the club, Sedivy says he
cycles through about 35 or 40 different small bites from the
company and “members love them.” Favorite Holiday Foods
appetizers and hors d’oeuvres include
pulled-pork sandwiches, mini quiches,
chicken satay and “everyone’s favorite,
franks in a blanket.”
Compared to other brands Sedivy has
used, he finds Holiday Foods’ pricing to be
“very relative and consistent across the
market” and the service to be top-notch.
If there’s ever a question or issue, “all you
have to do is pick up the phone, and they’ll
be in contact with you within the hour,” he
says. Sedivy can also see that the company
really listens to their customers’ needs.
“They’re always asking what do I want, what would I like to
see? They’re trying to fill that niche.” —JM
