Over the past decade, Texas-based Benchmark Hospitality
International has set up conference centers across the country,
each one requiring dozens of seminar tables. And they
have relied on Maywood Furniture Corp.
to supply those tables.
“We build our facilities with some dedicated
features that are different from hotels,”
says Benchmark VP Scott McMinn.
These features include a thicker top than
traditional banquet tables, a laminated finish,
and a modesty panel–all of which are
standard on Maywood C-Leg tables.
The Maywood C-Leg Series is designed
specifically for training facilities
and seminar rooms. McMinn likes the C-Leg design because,
he says, “It allows unimpeded access without banging
your legs. And it looks better.”
McMinn adds that Maywood has a great warranty on all
their products, is “extremely responsive,”
and will also work with their customers
to customize or create products. McMinn
recently collaborated with Maywood to create
a new product line called Office Supply
Kits. “We need to be able to present office
supplies in the rooms for customer use, and
[Maywood] has begun manufacturing them
for us,” says McMinn. —JM
