Not many food and beverage suppliers would be described as offering a “rock and roll elegance,” and not many hotel clients would demand it. But it makes sense when you’re talking about the Hard Rock brand. Rob Cornelius, director of banquets at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas relies on Southern Aluminum’s “chic, clean, and modern” Swirl-finish aluminum tables to give him a rock and roll aesthetic to go with the brand’s theme.
“Southern Aluminum has great customer service, great products, and they stand behind everything they do,” Cornelius says. “And the staff is always easy to reach.” This has made it a breeze for Cornelius to work with the company to design custom pieces that he currently has in the works.
Cornelius also appreciates Southern Aluminum’s commitment to sustainability, which is consistent with Hard Rock’s support of environmental causes. Since the Swirl finish is intended to be used without tablecloths, “less linen means less laundering,” Cornelius points out. The tables are made from about 80 percent recycled materials and are themselves recyclable should they ever wear out (which likely won’t be for many years, since all Southern Aluminum products come with at least a 15-year warranty, many with a lifetime guarantee). —JM
