Hotel Banquet Seating » Looking Good, Feeling Great
Whether it be shoes, clothing, or furnishings, it can be challenging to find a balance between comfort and style. John Zeman, senior banquet manager at the Westin San Francisco Market Street, credits his hotel’s banquet chairs from Global Allies with having both. “We did a renovation in March 2006 and brought in 1,500 new chairs from Global Allies. We’ve gotten a really great response to them from our customers,” he says.
The main reason for the chairs’ popularity seems to be their comfort. Zeman explains, “They’re a little wider, and they have a thicker cushion than the average banquet chair.” Since the banquet facilities are used not just for dining, but also for business meetings, the chairs are a boon to those who must log many consecutive seated hours. “A lot of people are here for all-day meetings, and people comment that it’s comfortable” Zeman says.
Zeman also appreciates the stylish look of the chairs. “They go with the color scheme; they’re kind of a light green.” The chairs are holding up well after more than two years, Zeman reports, and he’s been very satisfied with Global Allies. “Everything came in on time,” he says. “We’ve never had to call anybody or complain about anything. It’s been a great experience.”—JM
