Punishment isn’t exactly what one would associate with the exquisitely appointed Inn Above Tide in picturesque Sausalito, California. Yet punishment is exactly what gets delivered to their Sunkist Commercial Citrus Juicer, says General Manager Mark Flaherty. “When we first opened, we had a less heavy-duty juicer, with disastrous results. It just wasn’t made for the sort of volume we need.”
With sweeping views of San Francisco to savor their breakfast by, it’s the rare guest who foregoes a healthy glass or two of fresh-squeezed juice at the Inn. So having a heavy-duty juicer that can withstand extended daily usage is key to the smooth running of their year-round operation. After that initial experience, “we looked for a reliable alternative that did the job quickly and quietly,” explains Flaherty. “And we came to Sunkist, which is where we’ve stayed.” In 12 years, they have only once purchased replacement parts. “It was an excellent choice for us,” says Flaherty of the high-volume juicer, which easily extracts 10 to 12 gallons of juice per hour.
