Food Safety Labels » No Sticky Situations
DayMark Safety Systems’ Dissolve-A-Way shelf life labels, which allow users to track food items by name, date, time, use-by date, and use-by time, are helping properties like Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, save time and money.
Steve Lloyd, kitchen manager, says that the food tracking labels are currently used by 170 people in three different kitchens at the resort. “They save on food costs and labor fees because the labels dissolve easily and the dishwashers don’t have to take the time to scrape them off.” Deer Valley estimates it saves about five percent in labor costs due to the easy use and removal of the labels.
After previously using another manufacturer’s dissolvable labels, which failed to dissolve entirely, Deer Valley switched to DayMark and has been using the 2x4 white labels for about three years. “The other manufacturer’s products aren’t half as good as DayMark’s, which are a bit more expensive but worth the cost.”
Deer Valley also uses DayMark’s lightweight no-cut gloves, which offer protection for hands that are slicing and dicing, and they have purchased food safety education posters for the kitchen walls. Lloyd raves of DayMark, “It is an excellent company with top quality products.”
DayMark Safety Systems specializes in a variety of food safety products that assist hotels and restaurants in complying with FDA and other compliance codes. DayMark offers kitchen first-aid kits, protective kitchen gloves, food safety labels, online food safety training, and more.--ABA
