In Room Refreshment Centers » Cool Investment

Dometic in room refreshment centers and minibars In 1973, Dometic--then under the Electrolux brand--was the first company to realize the refreshment center potential as an extra source of income for hotels and a valued service for hotel guests.

In 2005, according to Dometic, 14 models and three operational systems are available to fit the ever-changing needs of the hotelier at all levels, and of these needs, the increasing demand for labor-saving minibars are speaking the loudest. Dometic's AutoClassic and HiPro series have become the most popular as energy-saving and automatic tracking in room refreshment centers with posting capabilities.

The AutoClassic, a minibar offering real time posting to minimize disputes, tracks all product movement and transmits the charges on-screen to the front desk. Labor costs are reduced because attendants are not required to visually inspect every room; instead, they need only check the rooms that have been identified with a purchase.

The HiPro series features Fuzzy Logic II, an upgraded version of Dometic's patented, energy regulating software, which ensures the lowest energy consumption for absorption- type refreshment centers.

Aside from functionality, other desirable features of Dometic refreshment centers are special exterior finishes like brushed steel, wood cabinetry, or custom decor panels to complement any room design. --ABA, KB
