Hotel Dinnerware » The Wow Factor
Award-winning restaurants raise guest expectations. To help assure that guests continue to be wowed at the Grill at the Ritz-Carlton Dearborn, Michigan, named Detroit's 2003 Restaurant of the Year, Executive Assistant Manager-F&B Adbullah Vural switched to Villeroy & Boch china at this all-day dining venue and throughout the hotel.
Among new china patterns, Vural selected the Hot Wave Cafe coffee service for The Grill. The cups are available in several styles while the underplate, which resembles a wave, is offered in large and small versions.
For banquet use, Vural chose white bone china, a chef favorite that inspires creativity. He also favors its simplicity, durability, and elegance. Villeroy & Boch also created a base plate expressly for the hotel, Vural says.
But what Vural says sets Villeroy & Boch apart from other hotel dinnerware is its customer service and long-term approach to conducting business. While forward-looking companies develop new china and dinnerware designs, people make the ultimate difference.
"In this business, it's all about relationships and customer service," Vural says. "I've quickly discovered our representatives are here when we need them--and when we don't need them."
"If you don't have a successful relationship, you don't have success," Vural adds. --SBH
