Dometic in-room refreshment centers and hotel mini-bars In a town as hot, hot, hot as Las Vegas has become, with competition intensifying daily, keeping cool can be a challenge. That's part of the reason the Westin Casuarina Hotel & Spa turned to Dometic Corporation for its in-room hotel refreshment center needs for all 826 guestrooms.

"We selected Dometic in-room refreshment centers for all our refrigerated items," explains Tom Hagreen, general manager of the Las Vegas property.

Dometic's user-friendly aspects were especially appealing to Hagreen. "Ease of use and a nice variety of products that prompt guests to purchase them are important considerations," says Hagreen. "In-room refreshment centers are an amenity, a convenience, and a revenue center."

Dometic minibars are energy-efficient, labor-efficient, and blend well with guestroom decor, Hagreen shares.

"We researched other companies before making our decision," Hagreen says. "Dometic hotel minibars are a reliable product and they've proven themselves to us in our first eight months of operation."

Hagreen notes their relationship with Dometic began long before the November 2003 opening. "We've enjoyed a good relationship from the beginning," Hagreen says. "Dometic has proven to be a good resource for us and was very helpful to us as we prepared to open." --SBH
