Custom Cocktails at Skamania Lodge

Skamania Lodge, located on the scenic Columbia River Gorge, offers an array of custom-created cocktails for its corporate and social clients. The drinks generate an enthusiastic customer response along with an average 15 percent increase in bar revenues at cocktail receptions. The following recipes are a few the hotel has created for its clients over the past year.

2 Stroke Bar Oil (STIHL Chainsaw Drink)2 Stroke Bar Oil

Custom created for STIHL Northwest, manufacturer of chainsaws, landscaping equipment, and construction power tools.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz orange juice
  • 1-¼ white rum
  • Splash of Rose's blue raspberry or blue curacao
  • Splash of Sprite
Instructions:

Add all ingredients together over ice in a glass with Sprite last. This drink can be made shake-and-strain style as well, but the Sprite goes in after it has been strained.

Hayden HowitzerHayden Howitzer

Custom created in honor of the president of a company that held a camouflage meeting theme.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ oz Bacardi
  • ¾ oz Rose's blue raspberry
  • 4oz orange Juice
  • ¾ oz Kahlua
  • ¾ oz Myers's dark rum
Instructions:
  1. Add Bacardi, blue raspberry, and orange juice in glass over ice. Stir well or shake to blend ingredients.
  2. Pour Kahlua over the top (it will settle to the bottom).
  3. Finally, float the Myers's on top.


The PopsicleThe Popsicle

Custom created for the “think young” theme of a corporate meeting.

Ingredients:

  • ½ oz Midori
  • 1 oz rum or citrus vodka
  • ¾  fill orange juice
  • ¾  fill cranberry juice
  • Splash of soda water
  • Squeeze of lime or dash of Rose's lime juice
Instructions:

Build ingredients over ice in glass with Midori first, followed by rum or vodka, orange juice, cranberry, soda, and a squeeze of lime last.

Spring RunSpring Run

Custom created for a river restoration group.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz amber rum
  • ½ oz Apple Pucker
  • Raspberries
  • Sprite
  • Pineapple juice
  • Limes
  • Raw sugar
Instructions:
  1. Add raspberries and lime wedges with sugar in glass and lightly muddle with rum.
  2. Add Apple Pucker, Sprite, and top with pineapple juice.
  3. Shake once or lightly stir.


Wave of ChangeWave of Change

Custom created for a group of salespeople whose meeting theme was "Waves of Change, Oceans of Opportunity."

Ingredients:

  • 1-¼ oz vodka
  • Fill cranberry juice
  • Splash grenadine
  • Rose's Blue Raspberry
Instructions:
  1. Combine vodka, cranberry juice, and grenadine in glass with ice.
  2. Pour 1 oz of Rose's Blue Raspberry in separate shot and let guest pour it in. The drink will turn purple, hence the "wave of change."

  • Grenadine
  • Orange juice
  • Absolut Mandrin
Instructions:

Layer ingredients in order.

Custom created for a wedding.

Ingredients:
  • 1 oz Malibu rum
  • ¾ oz Blue curacao
  • ½ oz Midori
  • Sprite
Instructions:

Add ingredients in a glass over ice and chop stir. Drink should have a teal hue and will actually change colors depending on the angle.
