Kraft Foodservice: Has partnered with casual restaurant chain Cheeburger Cheeburger to offer Kraft’s Maxwell House brand coffee. Cheeburger Cheeburger has chosen Maxwell House Frozen Liquid Coffee Concentrate, which allows the restaurant to serve full-flavored, balanced coffee in a convenient, labor-saving, high-volume format. “I chose to serve Maxwell House because of the quality coffee and brand name it offers,” says Jeff Jablow, director of training and menu development at Cheeburger Cheeburger. MTS Seating: Has expanded its SynerGreen philosophy for environmental improvement. In addition to becoming the first hospitality banquet seating manufacturer to earn the GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification for low-emitting materials, the company now offers a continuing education unit (CEU) to the design community through its partnership with the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. MTS has also developed a program to provide environmental data for each standard chair model. Scotsman Industries: The Enodis global ice machine business recently announced the completion of its sale to affiliates of Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm. Scotsman Industries, Inc. will become the official name of the new holding company for all assets of the former Enodis global ice machine business, including six factories in the U.S., Italy, and China. All of the company’s brands, which include Scotsman, Ice-O-Matic, Simag, Barline, Icematic, Tecnomac, and Oref, will continue to operate as they have in the past, with no change to sales, distribution, and service. Shoes For Crews: Donated 17,000 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls, a fast-growing humanitarian relief group that specializes in giving shoes to people in need. Electrolux Professional: Certified Chef Chuck Hoover represented Electrolux at the grand opening of the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown. Hoover supported the hotel’s Executive Chef, Frank Belosic, at the event by serving chicken and risotto with a black bean tomato salsa for 3,600 people using only nine servers. The entire cooking process took only 38 minutes using Electrolux air-o-steam combi ovens that were purchased by the hotel prior to opening. “We have received much praise from guests on quality, temperature, and presentation of the food,” says Chef Belosic.
