Lobby Trends: TREATS at Hampton Hotels
Hotel lobbies continue to be one of the most fluid and shape-shifting F&B spaces across all tiers of properties, and in particular, select and limited service hotels.
Hampton by Hilton—a focused-service brand—continues to roll out its TREATS convenience store-style grab n' go concept, most recently at the Hampton Inn by Hilton Manhattan/Times Square Central on 41st Street between 7th and 8th Avenues.
According to a release from Hampton, that hotel features the Perfect Mix Lobby, “designed as an extension of the guestroom with a variety of seating and lighting options for both leisure and business travelers. Additionally, the hotel features TREATS, a new food and beverage shop filled with snacks, toiletries, local merchandise and drinks for purchase.”
TREATS is designed aesthetically as an extension of the Perfect Mix Lobby for new properties, with open shelving areas integrated into the lobby space for a walk-up experience. For existing properties that have the brand’s former pantry concept called Suite Shop, those spaces will be transformed into TREATS with more of a walk-in, enclosed footprint experience.
Hampton plans to add TREATS to all new hotels starting this year, and will roll out the walk-in version replacing Suite Shop on a rolling basis. Hampton beta-tested TREATS for a year prior to launching, and single-serve beer was the top seller.
