First Hospitality Group Partners for Two Destination Restaurants
FHG and Concentrics Restaurants to open Brim House and The Heights at new Renaissance in Toledo.
This summer, restaurant group Concentrics Restaurants and hotel company First Hospitality Group (FHG) launch what they hope will be two destination restaurants at downtown Toledo, Ohio’s riverfront. Brim House and The Heights are brought to Toledo via a partnership between the two groups. Both will be located in the new Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel.
Brim House and The Heights will be helmed by Toledo native chef Aaron Lawson. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Lawson has been in the hospitality business for 16 years.
Brim House will offer classic American cuisine consisting of grilled and roasted meats, fresh fish, small plates, and hearty salads with modern twists. An open kitchen, lively bar, and soft lounge seating aim to provide a unique atmosphere. The bar will pull from Midwestern brews and ingredients for a craft beer and cocktail program coupled with a top notch wine list. Dramatic design will pay homage to the local glass culture.
The Heights will be a rooftop bar offering 360-degree sweeping skyline views, a modern design, and unique handcrafted cocktails and cuisine. Within the indoor and outdoor space, wood-burning ovens will turn out small plates, fresh pizzas, and shareable options, while the bar program will offer specialty libations, craft beers, and award-winning wines. Private and semi-private rental options will be available for events.
“We wanted to create two destination restaurants that would change the landscape of downtown Toledo while still assimilating perfectly into the local culture,” says Bob Amick, owner of Concentrics Restaurants.
“The addition of these restaurants in this prime location will continue to strengthen our commitment to offering guests excellent food and beverage options and experiences, one that is deeply desired by travelers and locals alike,” says First Hospitality Group President and CEO Robert Habeeb.
This is not the first time Concentrics and FHG have partnered. Projects include 8UP in Lousiville, Kentucky; The Keep at Hotel LeVeque in Columbus; and in-the-works concepts in Chicago’s McCormick Place. Both Toledo restaurants are currently slated to open this summer.
